The reprint of Turkey Trot T's are now available at the main office at Central Catholic High School. Please enter the front doors (you may have to ring the buzzer), go up the steps, and the main office is the first door on the left.
Hours for pickup are 8-3 Monday - Friday.
As many of you are aware, I work with all of the races in the Subway Challenge Series to be as runner friendly as possible. Normally I defend the runner. In this particular case, I have heard some grumblings about the race running out of T's. I would like share a few specific facts on this event.
In 2008 there were 988 on line entries. In 2009 there were 1341 on line entries with 123 coming on Monday before the race, 242 on Tuesday before the race, & 152 on Wednesday before the race for a total of 516 the 3 days before the race or 38%. In addition, I entered Wednesday evening from 5-9 before the race & race morning another 350.
Thus 866 of the 1624 entries for the 5K (53%) came Monday-Thursday morning before the race. We are good, but it is impossible to react that quickly with more T's!
The Perry Rotary deserves a great deal of credit for going ahead and printing more shirt fo you the runner. Please thank them for their support and PLEASE sign up early!
